http://www.aamft.org/AAMFT_annual_cover5-15-08.jpg The PNA is looking forward to the upcoming conference for the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, set for October 30th-November 2 in Memphis, Tennessee. The PNA will have a booth and has been invited to present at one of the breakout sessions. Our presentation, entitled Hormonal and Mental Health: Essentials for Standards of Care, will be on Saturday, November 1, 2008 from 2:15 PM - 4:15 PM. This is the fourth such program we have presented at and they have been an instant success. Marriage and Family Therapists often see the pituitary patients before any other type of doctor. However, these “first responders” often don’t have a clue what they are looking at or working with. We are proud to have Linda Rio, MFT serve on the PNA’s board or directors. Together, we will expand the PNA’s 1 in 5 campaign to educate therapists about the emotional symptoms of pituitary diseases and disorders.
